Tell the ‘08 candidates you want clean energy – sign the petition

Will you take 2 minutes to sign our clean energy petition to the ‘08 candidates? Here’s the link petition:

The choices we make in the 2008 election will define our future — especially when it comes to energy issues. We can keep on our current path — more oil, more coal, more high energy prices, more global warming. Or we can take a very different path toward a clean energy economy and a safer, healthier, more prosperous state.

We’ve launched a campaign — the Power2Change campaign — to show how the choices we make in 2008 can have a huge impact on our energy policy. We’re kicking off with a petition to all candidates, including presidential candidates, demanding they choose clean energy solutions.

We’ll deliver the petition to the candidates after Earth Day (4/22), but first we’ll be holding events — house parties, rallies, and even touring local examples of bad and good energy choices.

We have the technology, know-how, and power to build a clean energy future. What we have lacked is the political will and leadership. We need to challenge all our elected officials — including the next President — to provide the leadership we need to move us forward.
